May 18th, 2012 - On Friday night the team was back at Fiesta City Speedway (Montevideo, Minnesota) for another Weekly Racing Series Event. Dustin started at the back of his heat race in the eighth position before advancing to a fourth place finish. Via his heat performance he earned the fourth starting spot for the main event. Despite a racing surface that would lock down early, he would still go on to race his way to a solid, second place finish at the checkered flag behind race winner, Nate Beyenhof. May 11th, 2012 - Dustin was finally able to overcome Mother Nature to enter a Weekly Racing Series Event at Fiesta City Speedway (Montevideo, MN) on Friday night. Heat race action found Dustin starting third before a bad call put him to the tail of the grid. He would rebound to finish fourth, which locked him into the third starting spot for the feature. May 5th, 2012 - In what has been a theme early in the year Dustin saw another event nixed by Mother Nature as Viking Speedway (Alexandria, Minnesota) was forced to cancel their program.

April 27th, 2012 - For the second straight week, the Ice Breaker at Viking Speedway (Alexandria, Minnesota) has been nixed by Mother Nature, so once again Dustin won't be racing anywhere.

September 10th, 2011 - Dustin entered the annual Wissota 100 over the weekend at Dakota State Fair Speedway (Huron, South Dakota) in his #60 Mastersbilt By Diemel. The action began on Wednesday night with 44 cars entered, and Virkus slipped to a ninth place finish in his heat race, which left him short of earning a spot in the qualifying feature, bringing his night to an early end.

The team planned to try again on Thursday night, but Mother Nature would postone the program until Friday. As a result, the team was next in action on Friday evening, and for the second straight outing the team would struggle to a ninth place finish in heat race action, which again left them short of a starting spot in the qualifying feature. Virkus decided to scratch from the remainder of the weekend.

September 4th, 2011 - On Sunday night, Dustin concluded his busy Labor Day weekend with the second leg of the NLRA doubleheader at Viking Speedway (Alexandria, Minnesota). Once again a talented field of 30 competitors entered the event, and Virkus started the night by finishing second in his heat race to lock into the seventh starting spot for the main event. He would battle in the top ten for the duration of the event before crossing the finish line in the seventh position. Full results are available at www.VikingSpeedway.net.

September 3rd, 2011 - On Saturday night Dustin entered the first night of a doubleheader for the NLRA Late Model Series at Viking Speedway (Alexandria, Minnesota). Thirty Super Late Models entered the event, and after failing to lock into the feature via heat race action, he would be relegated to a b-main. He started second in the b-main and claimed the win to transfer to the feature in the 21st starting position. Despite starting deep in the field he would mount a great charge as he advanced to a 13th place finish at the checkered flag. Full results are available at www.VikingSpeedway.net.

September 2nd, 2011 - Friday night found the team at I-94 Speedway (Fergus Fall, Minnesota) for a Weekly Racing Series Event. Fourteen cars entered the event, and after starting in the 14th position, Dustin would advance four spots to record a 10th place finish.

August 26th, 2011 - Saturday night was a solid outing for the team at Fiesta City Speedway (Montevideo, Minnesota) as Dustin took part in a Wissota Weekly Racing Series Event. With 16 Super Late Models on hand, Virkus won his heat race to earn the third starting spot for the feature event. He would grab the lead at the start of the race and would lead the duration of the event before being passed on the final lap. He would go on to record a second place finish behind race winner, Zach Johnson.

August 12th, 2011 - Another night and another Wissota Weekly Racing Series Event at Fiesta City Speedway (Montevideo, Minnesota). After advancing from the ninth starting spot to a sixth place finish in heat race action, Dustin would start sixth on the grid for the feature event. He would go on to pass three cars to record a third place finish behind race winner, Nate Beyenhof, and Brian Schultz.

August 11th, 2011 - The team entered a Corn Belt Clash event on Thursday night at Redwood Speedway (Redwood Falls, MN), where he would record an 8th place finish in the $2,000-to-win feature.

August 5th, 2011 - Friday night saw Dustin take part in a Wissota Weekly Late Model Event on at Fiesta City Speedway (Montevideo, Minnesota). After starting sixth in the feature he would pass one car on his way to a fifth place finish behind race winner, Jeff Wildung, Nick Beyenhof, Corey Nelson, and Chuck Kelly.

July 29th, 2011 - With 15 Wissota Late Models on hand, Dustin was in actoin on Friday night at Fiesta City Speedway (Montevideo, Minnesota). After only managing a seventh place finish in heat race action, Virkus would start 13th on the grid for the feature event. He would mount a great charge in the feature as he raced his way through the field to a fifth place finish behind race winner, Corey Nelson, Nick Beyenhof, Brian Schultz, and Chuck Kelly.

July 22nd, 2011 - Friday night found Dustin in action at Fiesta City Speedway (Montevideo, Minnesota) in a Wissota Late Model event. Virkus started the night by finishing second in his heat race to earn the third starting spot in the fourteen car grid for the main event. He would go on to record a fourth place finish in the event behind race winner, Seth Brede, Chuck Kelly, and Corey Nelson.

July 8th, 2011 - Dustin took part in a Wissota Weekly Racing Series Event on Friday night at Fiesta City Speedway (Montevideo, Minnesota) as twenty-one cars signed in for action. After winning his heat race from the second starting spot, he started fourth in the main event. He felt confident about his chances to win the main event, but an ill-handling car would relegate him to a 14th place finish at the checkered flag.

June 24th, 2011 - Friday night was a frustrating night for Dustin and the team at Fiesta City Speedway (Montevideo, Minnesota) after a bizarre call took the lead from him. He would start second in the feature, and took the lead at the drop of the green flag, and led the first half of the event before the caution flag flew for an incident. Under the caution he was penalized two spots for jumping the initial start. Virkus was understandably unhappy with the call as officials didn't call the start back, and allowed him to lead half the race before penalizing him. He would go on to finish fifth in the main event.

June 17th, 2011 - On Friday night the team returned to Fiesta City Speedway (Montevideo, Minnesota) for a complete weekly racing series program plus the make-up feature from the rained out event on June 10th. In the make up race, Dustin would charge through the pack to register a 3rd place finish.

In the new program, Virkus started things off the right way by winning his heat race to earn the third starting spot for the main event. In the feature he would go on to finish fourth behind race winner, Jeff Wildung, Brian Schultz, and Rick Schroeder.

June 12th, 2011 - Sunday night found the team at Madison Speedway (Madison, Minnesota) for a Weekly Racing Series Event. After finishing second in his heat race, Virkus started fifth on the grid for the main event. During the course of the feature he would slip a pair of spots to a seventh place finish.

June 10th, 2011 - The team returned to action on Friday night at Fiesta City Speedway (Montevideo, Minnesota) on Friday night. In heat race action, he would finish fifth, however before the feature could be run heavy rains set in forcing the feature to be postponed until Friday, June 17th.

June 8th, 2011 - Dustin opened his 2011 season over the weekend in the Wissota Late Model Series division in his #60 DougsAutoAndTruck.com/Virkus Farms/Mastersbilt By Stuckey/Hatfield Racing Engine Super Late Model at Fiesta City Speedway (Montevideo, MN). It would be a solid night for the team as he would race his way to a 9th place finish.
